Dietary fiber is not metabolized by the body and therefore it won&#039;t cause the body to produce more insulin. In combination with fat, insulin will actually raise your bodys levels of serotonin, thereby reducing hunger. Fiber also works prebiotic, which leads to a stronger immune system.

Carbohydrates by themselves do not make people fat and do not cause diabetes - but too fast carbohydrates in combination with a low insulin sensitivity do. If you have a normal or above normal insulin sensitivity you can eat quite a big amount of carbs, even fast ones, and still be fit and healthy. I&#039;ll write more on this topic later on. :)
